About Me
Averie Severs recently attended York University for film production where she focused on documentary filmmaking and producing. She left with a Bachelor in Fine Arts and a plethora of knowledge. Averie produced four films during her time at York and she extended her producing knowledge by helping a variety of productions with funding and post-production work, running a successful Indiegogo campaign for Rumspringa, and managing Instagram and other social media accounts. To date, Averie has directed two documentaries, A Tough Day and Twinkle Toes. Currently, Averie is expanding her interests by writing her web series, Q&Aime and her short film Nathan. She is currently working on the short film Hospice planned to film in late summer 2022. All while working remotely as an editor, streaming assistant and tech support at a large media company with clients in Canada and the United States. Averie still has an interest in documentary filmmaking outside of school and is slowly developing a project that will highlight amazing humans in her hometown.
Besides film, Averie also has an interest in journalism and social media marketing. Averie was the Campus Correspondent for the York U Chapter of Her Campus. An online magazine supporting women while in University. Other interests include film photography and food photography aka her side gig Crave with Ave.
